HMD Global has set the trends of bringing the software update to almost all the devices that they have launched until now. Infact, it’s the only brand that has promised Android Pie upgrade to half a dozen smartphones and by the first half of 2019, they might continue to do so for the other Nokia smartphones.

The 3.1 Plus gets the Android 11 based Security patch of April 2021.
The news that the Nokia 3.1 Plus and Nokia 5 will receive the Pie treatment by the end of the week. HMD Global‘s Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas through his Twitter account confirmed this news. Once the update for these devices is done, the next in the pipeline is the Nokia 6, the first Nokia Android smartphone that was unveiled in January 2017. There is also Nokia 3 in contention for the Pie upgrade.
Nokia 3.1 Plus and Nokia 5 Pie update will be rolled out via over the Air (OTA) download globally. The company will be sending you an update notification when the updates are available in your region/country.
The company also unveiled a roadmap to the Android Pie upgrade for the remaining smartphones. It will continue to do so for upcoming smartphones like Nokia 7.2, Nokia 6.2, and Nokia 8.2 as well.
